We appreciate how hard it can be to give up, but your health matters, and that's why our Smoking Cessation Advisors will support and motivate you through possibly, the most difficult challenge of your life.

Our Smoking Cessation Advisors are accredited pharmacists and trained Senior Medical Assistants who attend regular training sessions to ensure that we, at Britannia Pharmacy can provide our patients with the highest level of care and support at all times. This service is provided in all our pharmacies.

Your personal advisor will sit with you and evaluate your condition and design a personal 'Quitters Plan', which will be monitored and modified as the course progresses. The course which can last between 6 to 12 weeks will include weekly or 2 weekly appointments with your advisor in the privacy of a private consultation room. Your advisor will recommend and prescribe a course of Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) most appropriate for you i.e. patches, gum, lozenges, inhalators or nasal sprays. If you are exempt from prescription payments there will be no charge for this service, otherwise the normal prescription charges will apply for any products that your advisor prescribes for you. Please note, there is no charge for the counselling service itself.
